Talk N’ Text was shocked with the news of Ivan Johnson’s banishment from the PBA and one of its bosses did not mince words to show his disappointment.

Manager Virgil Villavicencio relayed a text to the media from one of the team’s “big bosses.”

“Why ban a player for life without due process. We are talking about careers being affected and for life,” Villavicencio read the text Saturday at Philsports Arena.

Johnson was banned from the league after his actions following his ejection in the the Talk N’ Text-Meralco game.

PBA Media Bureau Chief Willie Marcial then announced to the media Johnson’s punishment, including a P250,000 fine, less than an hour after the import was thrown out and even before the game ended.

Villavicencio said the team wants due process on Johnson’s ban.

“Very simple, due process, whatever the decision is dapat due process,” Villavicencio said. “If it’s there, we will abide.”

“Whatever the evaluation is [we will follow], so you mean to tell me ‘I’m the rule’ in spite,” Villavicencio added.
