University of Santo Tomas may have squandered a 2-0 set lead but it still came through when it mattered most to drop vaunted National University in five sets, 25-14, 25-18, 17-25, 19-25, 15-12, in the UAAP Season 78 women’s volleyball tournament Saturday at Mall of Asia Arena.

A couple of blocks trampled the Lady Bulldogs’ comeback hopes as the Golden Tigresses notched their second straight win and improve to 2-3 in the standings.
