After career game, FEU’s Basas wants to be better
Toni Rose Basas played her best game in her young volleyball career, but to her, it’s just another day at the court.
The second-year outside hitter finished with 21 points to lead the Far Eastern University over University of the Philippines n five sets but she knows she could’ve done more.
Article continues after this advertisement“21?” a surprised Basas asked upon knowing how many she scored on Sunday.
“I didn’t feel like I did enough. I still have to do more in training then do it in our next game,” Basas said in Filipino.
Of her 21 points, 19 came off spikes, but Basas said she still has to improve on her defensive capabilities like receiving and blocking.

Still, despite feeling the need to do more, Basas said she’s pleased with what she achieved.
“I’m satisfied because it’s my first time to have 21 points.”
