TANDUAY Rhum seeks a fifth straight victory against dangerous BDO-National University Thursday even as University of the Philippines QRS/Jam Liner aims to get back on track in the PBA D-League Aspirants’ Cup at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

Four days removed from posting the biggest upset of the season, the Rhum Masters set out as favorites against the skidding Bulldogs in their 4 p.m. clash.

The Fighting Maroons shoot for a fourth win in seven games against an inconsistent Wangs squad in the 2 p.m. duel.

It has been a roller coaster tournament for UP so far as it has dropped three of its last four games after a solid 2-0 start.

Caida Tiles was the latest team to assert its mastery over the Maroons, posting a convincing 118-86 victory last Tuesday. Not even a strong performance from Diego Dario and Kevin Ferrer could prevent the Maroons from suffering one of their worst losses of the tournament.

After losing its first two games of the tournament, Tanduay has racked up four straight wins, including a stunning 79-74 triumph over leader Cafe France last Monday.

While the Maroons have struggled to put together a string of good performances, Wangs is in dire straits, going without a victory in almost a month.

Wangs’ first and last win in the tournament came Jan. 28 when Gwynne Capacio led a strong fightback against Mindanao.
