Stanley Pringle escaped any serious injury after he went down on Friday during the Batang Pier’s 120-109 defeat to San Miguel.

“No fracture or dislocation based on the x-ray result,” shared GlobalPort team manager Bonnie Tan, as Pringle spent the night at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Quezon City.

The spitfire guard sprained his right ankle on a crossover drive against Ronald Tubid at the 9:14 mark of the fourth quarter.

His absence was felt by the Batang Pier, who struggled to mount a fightback from that point forward.

Pringle finished with 19 points, four assists, and three rebounds for the night. After the game, he was helped off to the ambulance and was taken to hospital.

Though Tan said that Pringle is now resting his sore ankle, he remains a game-time decision for GlobalPort’s game against league leader Meralco on Sunday.

“We’re still looking for second opinion on his status for tomorrow,” he said.
