GlobalPort sorely missed the services of its injured point guard Stanley Pringle as it fell to league-leading Meralco on Sunday.
Without the reigning Rookie of the Year, the up-and-coming Batang Pier had to rely heavily on Terrence Romeo in scoring and in orchestrating the offense at the same time.
But the way Pringle’s injury is progressing, it won’t be long before GlobalPort gets to have one of its key players back on the floor. Results showed Pringle’s ankle injury is nothing serious.
“I’m good. It’s just a regular ankle sprain,” he said.
Pringle was sidelined after he hurt his right ankle in a 120-109 loss to San Miguel.
The 28-year-old Pringle praised the Batang Pier for fighting without him against the undefeated Bolts.
“My team played hard. They’re adjusting already so they’ll be fine,” he said.
Pringle’s status remains day-to-day but if his speedy recovery continues, he may suit up on Sunday against Blackwater, as per GlobalPort management.
