Anderson Silva is in a state of disbelief after his UFC Fight Night 84 setback to Michael Bisping in London.
Speaking to the Daily Star, the former UFC middleweight champion blamed his loss to corruption.
“If you can’t win in one way, they find a way to take it from you. Sometimes things are like in Brazil. Totally corrupted.”
Silva made his return to the Octagon on Saturday (Sunday Manila time) but lost via unanimous decision after all three judges scored the bout 48-47 for Bisping.
It was a closely contested fight, with both trading heavy blows and Bisping knocking down Silva in the second round with a left hook.
Silva, then, returned the favor in the next round with a knee to the head.
Even UFC president Dana White agreed with the 40-year-old.
In the same report, he said, “I have to watch it again there was so much craziness going on after the flying knee. But I believe that I had it even going into the fifth round and whoever wins the fifth round won the fight. And I thought that Anderson Silva won.”
Despite his disappointment, Silva holds no grudge with Bisping, even shaking his conqueror’s hand after the fight.
