Daquis, Maraño lead PH team in Thailand volley tilt

The biggest volleyball names will represent the country in the Thailand Super League women’s invitational tournament in Bangkok from March 23 to 28.

The Philippine Superliga released the names of the players who will make the team, which will be coached by Petron’s George Pascua.

Named to the team were Rachel Anne Daquis of RC Cola-Army, Cha Cruz, Aby Marano and Stephanie Mercado of F2 Logistics, Rhea Dimaculangan and Maika Ortiz of Foton, April Ross Hingpit and Jeanette Panaga of Cignal, Jen Reyes, Aiza Maizo, Mina Aganon and Ces Molina of Petron, and Melissa Gohing and Michelle Gumabao of Philips Gold, were named to the squad.

The tournament, which also lured six top Thai clubs and one from Hong Kong, will be held at MCC Hall of the Mall Bangkapi in Bangkok.

Bangkok Glass has several Thai national players in its fold including Pornpun Guedpard, Wnida Kotruang and skipper Pleumjit Thinkaow.

The national team leaves for Bangkok on March 21.
