Live Sparring for few seconds
Posted by Manny Pacquiao on Wednesday, March 2, 2016
Manny Pacquiao got a variety of sparring Thursday as Lydell Rhodes joined the fray at Pacman’s Wild Card Gym fronting SM City in General Santos City.
Rhodes, who worked out with Pacquiao in his preparations for his rematch with Timothy Bradley in 2014, spent four rounds in the ring with the Sarangani representative, the same total as Canada-based Congolese Ghislain Maduma’s.
“Okay naman, the sparring went well,” assistant trainer Roger Fernandez told the Inquirer over the phone. “Overall, Pacquiao trained for 25 rounds yesterday.”
Fernandez added that they resumed Pacquiao’s plyometrics training, concentrating on agility ladder drills.
On Wednesday, Pacquiao returned to Acharon Sports Complex for his regular morning run and exercises around the oval.
The training team headed by Freddie Roach has also required Pacquiao to supplement it with high-altitude runs, starting at the General Santos boundary all the way to his beach resort in Maasim, Sarangani.
Team Pacquiao is slated to leave for Los Angeles on March 15.
