PBA commissioner Chito Narvasa has been appointed as the new CEO by the Board of Governors following a special board meeting held on Monday.

Narvasa took over the position from PBA chair Robert Non, who acted as the league’s CEO on an interim basis since former commissioner Chito Salud vacated the post at the end of December.

Narvasa’s appointment is effective immediately as the league reverted back to its old organizational structure where the commissioner also serves as CEO.

During the same meeting, Rhose Montreal was rehired as marketing director of the league after a “lenghty” deliberation.
