F2 LOGISTICS and Petron seek to carry the momentum of their impressive wins the last time out when they clash in the 2016 PLDT Home Ultera Philippine Superliga (PSL) Invitational Conference at FilOil Flying V Arena in San Juan.
The two teams take the floor at 4 p.m. with the Cargo Movers, who beat New San Jose Builders, 25-18, 23-25, 25-17, 25-23, gunning for the first of two victories they need to nail a spot in the final round, where a Thai team will be inserted to dispute the crown.
Cignal and New San Jose Builders seek breakthrough victories in the 6 p.m. match.
With a 0-3 slate, the Victorias are hard-pressed to win their remaining matches to stay in the thick of the fight for a top three finish.
“This is a very short tournament and every game is important,” said F2 coach Rosemarie Prochina. “We have to go hard each time because all teams here are very competitive.”
The Tri-Activ Spikers, who underwent roster changes during the offseason, are eyeing for their second straight win after rolling past Cignal in four sets last Tuesday.
Petron has notched a pair of PSL titles, including a 13-0 sweep of the All-Filipino Conference last year.
