Adamson University on Friday announced the replacement for Sherwin Meneses, the erstwhile head coach of the women’s volleyball team who suddenly quit this week.

Domingo Custodio, the current head coach of the men’s team, was named the head coach of the Lady Falcons on an interim basis.

“While it is unfortunate that the said decision has been reached midway, the university passes the torch to current head coach of the Falcons’ Men’s Volleyball Tournament, Coach Domingo Custodio,” Adamson said in a statement.

Domingo will take over the Lady Falcons who sit at the seventh seed with a 3-5 record in the on going UAAP Season 78 tournament.

“Known as Coach Domeng in the local volleyball community, we trust that his fighter attitude and vast experience will rub off to the Lady Falcons,” Adamson said.

Custodio led the Falcons to a 6-2 record in the men’s tournament behind leaders and recent champions Ateneo and National University.

“We wish him luck as he tries to steer the Lady Falcons to the best finish possible this season.”
