Rain or Shine may truly be June Mar Fajardo’s kryptonite.

The reigning two-time MVP once again hurt himself, this time injuring his right knee on Friday in the 2016 PBA Commissioner’s Cup.

“Naapakan ko yung paa ng import nila,” explained Fajardo.

The 6-foot-10 center explained that he was backpedalling on defense in the second quarter when he inadvertently bumped reinforcement Tyler Wilkerson when he turned around, which led him to accidentally step on the foot of Rain or Shine import Mo Charlo.

But upon further review, it was actually Wilkerson’s foot that he walked on.

San Miguel staff immediately iced his knee and Fajardo even tried to walk off the injury.

However, he said that he felt pain and rating it as “four” whenever he tried to walk on it.

“Papa-MRI ko na lang para sigurado,” said Fajardo, with initial findings deeming it as a bruised knee. “Kasama na rin siguro yung pagod.”

Fajardo only had four points, two rebounds, and two assists in his 12 minutes on the floor.

The last time Fajardo was sidelined was also against the Elasto Painters in game 6 of the semifinals of the 2016 PBA Philippine Cup when he hurt his left knee.
