F2 spikers try to keep bid afloat

F2 LOGISTICS seeks to stay in the hunt for a spot in the final round Saturday as it battles Cignal in the 2016 PLDT Home Ultera Philippine Superliga (PSL) Invitational Conference at Batangas City Sport Center.

The Cargo Movers, who sport a 3-2 record, are hard pressed to pick up a victory in the 3 p.m. duel with the HD Spikers, whose confidence is soaring after mailing their first win last Thursday.

Petron shoots for a third straight win as it faces winless New San Jose Builders at 1 p.m.

Bucking a sluggish start in the win against Cignal, the Tri-Activ Spikers got their acts together right from the get-go in the straight set win over the Cargo Movers last Thursday.

The HD Spikers also bounced back with a resounding 25-20, 25-19, 25-18 triumph over the Victorias to even their card at 1-1.

RC Cola Army which returns to action in the third round is still on top with a 3-0 card followed by Petron with 2-0. The top three teams at the end of three rounds will join a team from Thailand to dispute the crown.
