MANILA, Philippines—PBA Hall of Famer Billy Ray Bates spearheads the free month-long basketball clinics that AirAsia and the Philippine Patriots are conducting in Manila and nearby provinces starting October 22 in Pampanga.
The PBA Hall of Famer, hailed as the “Black Superman” for his high-flying exploits during his prime, will be joined by Patriots guard Warren Ybanez and assistant coach Allan Gamboa as they make the rounds in Martinez, Caloocan on November 6, Don Bosco in Makati on November 25, and Angeles in Pampanga on December 5.
Jojo Fermin, marketing head of AirAsia, expects more than 2,000 kids are expected to be treated to an intensive basketball workout.
