De La Salle veteran Cyd Demecillo injured her right knee Wednesday in the Lady Spikers’ win over University of the Philippines at San Juan Arena, and had to be rushed to the hospital for further tests.

Demecillo was stretched out of the dugout en route to Makati Medical Center and head coach Ramil de Jesus said the opposite spiker is set for a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan to determine the extent of the injury.

Demecillo was still at the playing court when the Lady Spikers celebrated their 18-25, 25-12, 25-18, 25-21 victory over the Lady Maroons when she suddenly fell down and had her teammates take her to the locker room.

De Jesus said Demecillo has been complaining of the soreness in her right knee since Saturday in their match against University of Santo Tomas.

“Bukas siguro malalaman kung ano injury niya,” De Jesus said.
