A BLUEPRINT for the country’s hosting of the 2019 Southeast Asian Games is being drawn up by the Philippine Olympic Committee and the Philippine Sports Commission.
Sen. Sonny Angara instigated the move through Senate Resolution No. 1667 to prepare for the Games last hosted by the country in 2005.
“As early as now, we should be cultivating the talent that may one day bring home the gold medals the country aspires to attain,” said Angara yesterday.
SRN 1667 urges the PSC and the POC to create a master plan for the country’s buildup for the Games three years from now and for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Both the POC and the PSC are currently taking bold steps to ensure that the coming Manila Games will be a success comparable to previous stagings.
