PBA slaps P40K fine on Rain or Shine’s Guiao

Rain or Shine coach Yeng Guiao has been slapped with a P40,000 fine and suspended for one game after his ejection in the Elasto Painters’ game against Mahindra on Wednesday.
The outspoken mentor wasn’t able to finish the first half after being whistled with two technical fouls late in the second quarter.
Guiao was arguing the offensive foul called on Maverick Ahanmisi at the 1:33 mark of the period when he was called for his first technical for resentment to a call.
A second technical foul followed after he hurled profanities towards the officials.
Guiao, though, wasn’t done. He raised both of his middle fingers in the air before going back to the Rain or Shine dugout.
This marked the first time Guiao had been thrown out this season and his first fine under the leadership of commissioner Chito Narvasa.
Guiao will serve his one-game suspension when the Painters take on TNT on Monday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
