Nate Diaz wants another shot at Conor McGregor and this time he wants to meet halfway.

They faced each other at the welterweight class, Diaz’ natural division, but now the American grappler would settle for a 155 pound rematch that is nearer to McGregor’s natural class at featherweight.

“Let’s do this again,” Diaz said at UFC Tonight, as per Bleacher Report. “It’s a real fight. Some people want to see that fight. Obviously, it just happened it’s a real fight. When you get a real fight, people appreciate it. If that’s what he wants to do and the UFC wants to do, let’s run it back.”

Some said McGregor’s sudden rise to welterweight from featherweight in a span of weeks was too much for the Irishman and Diaz is not having it. Instead, he is willing to go down to a lighter weight class.

“If there’s a second fight, whatever. I’ll fight at (155). I’d like to be in shape and be cut up and not have to hear it out of the fans and the people. Not even the fans but the guy (McGregor), I don’t want to hear no excuses.”
