Apparently the Atlanta Hawks are unfamiliar with the old saying “no man gets left behind,” as the team unexpectedly forgot their starting point guard Jeff Teague at The Palace of Auburn Hills after their road game last Saturday night (Sunday, Manila time).
As per SLAM online, the 27-year-old, who was seen carrying a pizza box, missed the second team bus and was left stranded on the arena’s loading dock.

Teague confirmed the news himself on his Instagram page:
Usually, there are several announcements written on white boards inside locker rooms—some are even said out loud—regarding visiting NBA teams’ travel arrangements after away games.
Unfortunately for the former All-star, he apparently did not receive the information on when that second bus was leaving.
Teague’s sister, however, came to his rescue and gave him a ride home.
No Hard Feelings
Despite being temporarily abandoned by his team, the former Wake Forest standout was still in high spirits after the incident.

He even decided to poke fun of himself by using the famous Michael Jordan crying meme’d version of his picture which also he posted later:
Teague posted a double double of 12 points and 12 assists in a 112-95 victory over the Detroit Pistons.
He was rumoured to have been on the trading block before this season’s trade deadline, but Atlanta ultimately decided on keeping him.
