HOLLYWOOD — Freddie Roach knows that Manny Pacquiao has beaten Timothy Bradley two in a row even if its officially 1-1.
Still, the seven-time trainer of the year won’t be lulled into complacency when his most famous pupil clash with Bradley for the last time on April 9.
That’s why Roach is preparing Pacquiao for the “best Bradley ever.”
Better than the one who was gifted a victory by two of three judges in Pacquiao-Bradley 1.
Better than the one who beat Mexican icon Juan Manuel Marquez, who tormented Pacquiao with a one punch knockout in the sixth round in 2012.
And better than the one who handed Brandon Rios his first stoppage loss last November.
That’s why Roach wants Pacquiao, who’s coming from an 11-month boxing break following a right shoulder injury, to be in the best possible form. Speedy and powerful.
Fortunately for Roach, Pacquiao has shown the lethal combination in training camp.
With proper execution, Roach feels that Pacquiao will end his career with another sterling win, erasing the stigma of the beating Floyd Mayweather handed him last May.
According to Roach, the past three days have been the best in training camp.
With Pacquiao extremely dedicated in training, Roach believes “he still has it.”
The betting public is also siding with the eight-division world champion installed at -240 and Bradley at +200 by Las Vegas oddsmakers thus far.
This means it will take a $240 bet to win $100 for Pacquiao while a $100 bet on Bradley, who will hold his media day Friday in Pakm Springs, California, will yield $200.
