Kaya, Loyola resume UFL feud; Stallion-Archers up

POWERHOUSE sides Kaya and Loyola Meralco rekindle their feud as the United Football League Cup resumes with two quarterfinal matches Saturday at Rizal Memorial Stadium.

The two bitter rivals who have figured in some of the most memorable UFL Cup clashes, face off at 8:15 p.m., after Group A winner Stallion tangles with Group B No. 4 seed Green Archers at 5:15 p.m.

Mentored by former national team standout Chris Greatwich, Kaya hopes to carry its fine form in the AFC Cup against the Sparks, who are seeking to reclaim the title they last won in 2014.

Led by Ghanaian striker Jordan Mintah and skipper Balot Doctora, Stallion tries to stay on track of winning its first trophy in three years.

Coach Ernie Nierras’ side ruled the group stages, while unveiling talented youngsters like Jay Shaun Soberano and Jim Ashley Flores.
