Well-rested Aces beat Hotshots in Davao

Well-rested and reinvigorated, Alaska got back on track with a 100-92 win over Star in the 2016 PBA Commissioner’s Cup Saturday night at USEP Gym in Davao.

Calvin Abueva scored 21 points on 8-of-14 shooting from the field and hauled down six rebounds off the bench to lead the Aces, who kept their bid for a top two finish going with a 6-3 record.

Chris Banchero also had solid contributions to Alaska’s bench mob with 15 points, six rebounds and three assists. Alaska had an 11-game layoff.

The Hotshots suffered their second consecutive setback and slid to 4-6 despite drawing another big game from import Ricardo Ratliffe.
