Lady Warriors head coach Francis Vicente said none of his players were hurt or affected in the massive fire that devastated three buildings inside the University of the East campus in Recto.

According to reports, the fire caused P22 million worth of damages.

Vicente said his team is far away from the blaze and the fire did not affect their oncourt performance Saturday at Mall of Asia Arena.

“Wala namang naapektuhan, within the area yung players pero malayo naman sila doon sa apoy,” Vicente said after the Lady Warriors lost in straight sets to De La Salle University.

“Wala naman sigurong naapektuhan sa performance, or sa ugali, mahirap makita sa mga mukha nila eh.”

UE’s fire almost destroyed the Engineering building but Vicente said none of his players study at the facility.
