Former pro lifts Euro-Med to first PCBL triumph
EURO-MED got a huge lift from former PBA player Eloy Poligrates as it pummeled Foton, 93-81, Sunday night to barge into the win column in the PCBL Chairman’s Cup at Malolos Sports and Convention Center in Bulacan.
Poligrates, who played for Kia last season, finished with 17 points, joining forces with guard Lester Alvarez in holding off the Toplander for Euro-Med’s first win in five outings.
Determined to end its losing skid, Euro-Med acquired Poligrates, Alvarez and Eric Salamat to shore up its backcourt.
