ONLY one more team stands in the way of Far Eastern University’s bid to nail a Final Four berth in the UAAP women’s volleyball tournament today.
But it won’t be as easy as the Lady Tamaraws take on the ousted Adamson Lady Falcons, who shocked them in five sets in the first round.
So FEU coach Shaq delos Santos wants his Lady Tamaraws to stay focused even if they’re riding high on a three-game roll.
“The players have more to show,” said Delos Santos as the Lady Tamaraws try to wrap up their elimination run with a ninth victory. “We just have to be consistent from start to end.”
Game time is at 4 p.m. at Filoil Flying V Center in San Juan.
A loss may put the Lady Tams’ semifinal hopes in peril as University of the Philippines (7-6) and National University (7-6) remain in strong contention for the last two Final Four slots.
Leaders Ateneo and La Salle have secured the twice-to-beat bonus.
Ateneo (11-1) and UE (0-12) likewise square off in the men’s side at 10 a.m., with the defending champion Blue Eagles hoping to put a lock on the No. 1 spot.
