LAS VEGAS—Timothy Bradley Jr. used a stage meant for boxers to promote their fights to put his wife in the spotlight.

Bradley set the emotional tone for the 40-minute presser for his upcoming fight against Manny Pacquiao with a speech praising his “Superwoman” wife, Monica, and thanking her for “always giving her 110 percent.”

“Without her, I’m telling you none of this would be possible,” Timothy said at Copperfield Theater inside MGM Grand. “Just for being who she is, being a great person, being my partner, my bond who has given me everlasting love every single day. Standing by me through thick and thin, managing my career, my family, our kids, and [she never complains.]”

But Monica Bradley was quick to give the credit back to Timothy.

“As much as he said those great things about me, I think that’s a reflection of what kind of person he is because I do what I do because of how great he is,” Monica told INQUIRER.net.

It hasn’t been an easy job for Monica, who is juggling jobs as Timothy’s manager and a homemaker and tries to keep a level head when it came to her husband’s craft.

“It’s hard because the world sees him as a boxer and I see him as my husband and as boxer. Anything like this is hard,” said Monica. “But I met him doing this and I support what he does.”

Monica took over Team Bradley’s managerial reigns in 2014 after a fallout between Bradley and Cameron Dunkin. Since then, she has supervised Timothy closely and saw something different in Timothy’s approach in his third shot against Pacquiao.

“His confidence, his focus, completely different,” she said. “He is who is he. He has found himself.”

“He is confident with who he is and that is great,” she added.

Timothy has said that this latest training camp was the “happiest” he’s ever been in, and Monica believe that’s what people are going to see in his husband on Saturday.
