Sta. Lucia, Euro-Med post 2nd straight wins

STA. LUCIA leaned on the duo of Jam Jamito and Paolo Javelona as it snapped Byaheng SCTEX’s three-game winning run with an 85-72 trouncing Wednesday night in the PCBL Chairman’s Cup at Marikina Sports Center.

Jamito poured 19 points and grabbed nine rebounds while Javelona quarterbacked the Realtors’ offense to lift Sta. Lucia to its second straight win and 4-2 overall for solo second spot.
Euro-Med also collected back-to-back victories with a 97-87 decision over Supremo Lex.

Guards Eloy Poligrates and Lester Alvarez combined for 37 points while Nigerian center Ola Adeogun finished with 17 points for Euro-Med which improved to 2-4, sharing fifth spot with Foton at the end of the first round.

It was Supremo Lex’s fifth loss in six games.
