Pacquiao impressive, but Roach feels he could have done more

LAS VEGAS–Impressive, but not exceptional.
That’s how chief trainer Freddie Roach described Manny Pacquiao’s rousing victory over TImothy Bradley Saturday night.
Roach feels the eight-division world champion has something more to offer.
“Comeback is not a complete Manny Pacquiao comeback,” said Roach. “But it’s a good step.”
While he was satisfied with Pacquiao’s new-found aggression, Roach wondered why the eight-division champion cut down on the volume of his punches.
According to Roach, Pacquiao was unleashing flurries of punches during training camp yet he did not flaunt it against Bradley.
Just the same, Roach said “I love his combos.”
Roach said he won’t interfere with Pacquiao’s decision to hang up his gloves that have made him an unprecedented eight-division world champion.
Of course, Roach is hoping that Pacquiao will eventually reconsider his decision, especially if a grudge rematch with the retired Floyd Mayweather Jr. is forged.
The Wild Card Gym’s door will always be open for him and Roach will look forward to his return.
Afterall, his gym tucked in Hollywood became a hallowed name because of Pacquiao.
