JUST months after ruling the collegiate scene, Phoenix-Far Eastern University aims to come out on top again as it goes for the championship in the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup Tuesday at Filoil Flying V Center.

“If we can finish it, we’ll go for it,” Phoenix coach Eric Gonzales said of the Accelerators, composed virtually of the same FEU team that bagged the UAAP men’s basketball crown last December.

Led by top Most Valuable Player contender Mac Belo, the Accelerators try to take down Cafe France in Game 4 of the best-of-five series at 3 p.m.

The league will award the conference’s top performer at 2:45 p.m.
The Accelerators hope to ride on their thrilling Game 3 escape, 85-84, where Roger Pogoy buried a triple from 27 feet for the win that gave them a 2-1 series lead.

“We’ll try our very best to bounce back,” said Cafe France coach Egay Macaraya.
