NBA: Bryant receives special retirement gift from Durant, Westbrook

Oklahoma City Thunder’s dynamic duo, Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook presented soon to be retired legend, Kobe Bryant with a parting gift on Monday (Tuesday, Manila time), right before the Black Mamba’s final road game at Chesapeake arena.

The superstar tandem gave Bryant a personalized book which featured hand-written notes from each of the Thunder’s players—per the Oklahoman‘s Anthony Slater.

Bryant, who’s played in the league for 20 seasons, has been receiving interesting tokens from fellow players during his retirement tour.

Earlier this season, the Utah Jazz awarded him with a bunch of ski-themed outfits—after he told former teammate Rick Fox that he wanted to ski in retirement, while the Boston Celtics gave him a piece of the TD Garden’s parquet floor.

The Atlanta Hawks together with the Zoo Atlanta, meanwhile, named a snake after him.

OKC thrashed the visiting Lakers 112-79, in a highly lopsided game where Westbrook posted a triple double right before halftime. Khristian Ibarrola, INQUIRER.net
