/ 12:14 AM April 13, 2016

STA. LUCIA seeks to tighten its grip on second spot when it clashes with a shorthanded Foton squad today while Jumbo Plastic faces Byaheng SCTEX in the PCBL Chairman’s Cup at Marikina Sports Center.

Armed with a 4-3 record, the Realtors hope to come out strong in their 5 p.m. clash with the Toplander after dropping a 75-83 decision to Euro-Med last Sunday.

Although it prevailed over Jumbo Plastic the last time out, Foton absorbed a setback with injuries on gunners Levi Hernandez and Mikee Reyes who will be sidelined for two weeks due to a knee injury. Power forward Allen Enriquez is also skipping the game due to commitments with his college team, Arellano University.

“We’re down to eight players,” said Foton coach Budds Reyes, whose team hopes to break out of a three-way tie for fourth spot with Euro-Med and Jumbo.

SCTEX (3-3) will parade a new recruit in 6-foot-7 Steve Cedric Alcomo, a Nigerian from University of Visayas, as it takes on a Jumbo at 7 p.m. Cedelf P. Tupas
