HOLLYWOOD—Manny Pacquiao is heading back to the Philippines in what could be his final trip fresh off a fight as a professional boxer.

The Filipino champion, days after his unanimous decision victory over Timothy Bradley–his most creditable performance in years–left the sprawling city of Los Angeles aboard Philippine Airlines flight PR 103 at 11:30 p.m Tuesday here.

Pacquiao flew with his family and is expected to arrive in Manila early morning Thursday.

According to Solar Sports’ Facebook page, fans will get to have a glimpse of Pacquiao in his homecoming with a motorcade scheduled to take him from Dusit Hotel in Makati all the way to Novotel in Quezon City starting at 8:30 a.m.

The 37-year-old Pacquiao is returning to the Philippines to resume his campaign for a seat in the Senate in the upcoming national elections next month.

Boxing’s only eight-division champion is in his first few days of his retirement and for now, he has closed the door on a possible comeback.
