Conor McGregor raised speculations about his MMA career after announcing on Twitter he would hanging his gloves for good.
“I have decided to retire young,” McGregor posted. “Thanks for the cheese. Catch ya’s later.”
It’s still a speculation since the UFC could not get in touch with its featherweight champion, as per ESPN.
Also, McGregor has been pulled out of the UFC 200 card after his decision not to fly to Las Vegas to film promotional materials.
UFC President Dana White told ESPN they could not get hold of McGregor who is in Iceland.
“We pulled McGregor from UFC 200 and we’re working on other fights right now,” White said. “Conor did not want to come to Las Vegas and film the commercial and be a part of the marketing. He’s in Iceland training.”
“Is Conor retiring? Only he can answer that question. I don’t know.”
Nate Diaz, McGregor’s supposed opponent at UFC 200 responded to McGregor’s claims with his own “retirement.”

“I guess my work here is done, I’m retiring too,” Diaz tweeted.
McGregor has been a social media personality ever since he’s meteoric rise in the UFC, posting his training and inspirational creeds. His “retirement” tweet is not also the first one that raised rumors.
Back in early April the Irishman tweeted he’ll not be attending WWE’s Wrestlemania as a guest to accompany Becky Lynch in the Women’s Championship match.
“I am not at Wrestlemania. I’m in me gaf,” McGregor posted. “Or am I…?”
