What a difference three days make.
Sunday wasn’t the best of days for Cyd Demecillo and the De La Salle Lady Spikers as they lost to Far Eastern University in five sets.
Wednesday, though, was the exact opposite and Demecillo and her band of merrymakers dispatched the Lady Tamaraws in three sets to setup another Finals with Ateneo.
Demecillo was the portrait of grief on Sunday with her head held down but on Wednesday the fifth-year spiker was dancing and prancing like a kid who just got her Christmas present.
“I think we were able to enjoy the game more,” said Demecillo, who finished with six points. “We enjoyed every point unlike last game where it was like we’re rushing and last game, FEU also played really well.”
It seemed like there’s a party on La Salle’s side every time the Lady Spikers scored and leading the celebration was Demecillo, who blamed herself for her team’s stunning loss in their previous outing.
“I just really wanted to bounce back,” Demecillo said. “I think we were able to redeem ourselves collectively.”
