Prince’s passing not only struck a chord with millions of music-lovers, but also the heartstrings of the greatest basketball player of all time.

Michael Jordan told TMZ Sports how the musician inspired him in his legendary career which produced six NBA championships, five MVPs, and countless moments of brilliance.
“Like so many people, I am shocked at the news that Prince has died,” Jordan told TMZ Sports. “In a world of creative performers, Prince was a genius.”
“[He] inspired me throughout my career and reminded me of so many moments from my life.”

“His greatness will live on through his music, but this is a sad day for his fans—me included. My thoughts go out to his family and friends.” IDL
