Gian Mamuyac topped the national youth team with 18 points, five rebounds, and five assists, while Joshua Sinclair added 14 markers and 11 boards to help the Philippines stay unscathed after three outings.
Jonas Tibayan also added 11 points and eight rebounds, while Rendell Joseph Lee went 3-of-5 from threes for nine markers.
Trailing Malaysia 22-24 after the first quarter, Batang Gilas banked on Lee as it unleashed a 14-2 blast in the second period to establish a 36-26 edge. Theo Joshua Flores helped the Philippines pull away in the third with a 15-point edge and never looked back.
Batang Gilas survived the dominant performance of Malaysian big man Kah An Soong, who finished with 22 points, six rebounds, and three assists.
