It’s an Atenean three-peat, on the individual awards race at least.

Lady Eagle Alyssa Valdez is set to take her third straight MVP award while Blue Eagle Marck Espejo will also get his hands on his third MVP trophy.

Valdez’ third MVP coincided with her team’s quest for a third straight title but the Lady Eagles are behind 1-0 to De La Salle in their best-of-three series.

Espejo, meanwhile, is on the brink of leading his Blue Eagles to a second straight championship as they lead National University 1-0.

Apart from her MVP trophy, Valdez is set to receive on Wednesday the Best Scorer and Best Server trophies.

University of the Philippines’ Isa Molde will be crowned the Rookie of the Year for Season 78 after leading the Lady Maroons to an 8-6 finish en route to the fourth seed.

Jaja Santiago of NU would ring home the Best Spiker award.

La Salle teammates Kim Fajardo, Dawn Macandili, and Mary Joy Baron would also receive individual trophies.

Fajaro was named the Best Setter while Baron was crowned the Best Blocker of the tournament, Macandili, though, would receive the Best Receiver and Best Digger plums.

Espejo would also receive two more trophies, the Best Server and Best Spiker awards after leading Ateneo to a 13-1 finish in the men’s tournament.

His partner-in-crime Ish Polvorosa would get the Best Setter award.

Green Spiker Raymark Woo is set to take the Best Scorer in the men’s tournament while University of the East’s Edward Camposano was named the Best Blocker.

NU teammates Ricky Marcos and James Natividad were named Best Digger and Rookie of the Year respectively while Far Eastern University’s Rikko Marmeto is the Best Receiver.
