JUMBO Plastic and Euro-Med try to boost their bids for the last quarterfinal bonus versus separate opponents in the PCBL Chairman’s Cup today at Marikina Sports Center.
Euro-Med (5-5) takes the floor at 7 p.m. versus Mighty Sports (9-1), the top seed which secured the first twice-to-beat bonus.
Jumbo Plastic (6-4), tied at second with idle SCTEX, battles Supremo Lex in the other match at 5 p.m.
Only the top two teams at the end of the eliminations will tote a twice-to-beat edge in the next round, with idle Sta. Lucia Realty (5-6) also in contention for the No. 2 spot.
Meanwhile, Sta. Lucia tapped former University of Santo Tomas coach Bong dela Cruz to be part of its coaching staff. Dela Cruz will join head coach Ogie Gumatay.
