Evan Fournier hit the court once more and this time, he played against locals in Coron, Palawan.
The Orlando Magic swingman in the NBA is vacationing in the country just weeks after his team’s season ended and less than three months before he takes the stage as part of the France national team in the Olympic qualifying tournament in Manila this July.
Fournier posted a video of himself on his Instagram account playing a game of 5-on-5.
“Just had an incredible time with these guys in #Palawan,” the 23-year-old Fournier wrote. “We played basketball and had so much fun! I am blessed to be able to play in the @NBA but I never played for the money or the fame, I always played for the love of the game.” #ThisIsWhyWePlay
Fournier, the 20th overall pick in the 2012 Draft by the Denver Nuggets, has been documenting his trip to Palawan, an island known for its hidden beaches and underground river.
He, however, seems to enjoy playing basketball more.
“First day and already back on the court,” Fournier posted on Instagram on the day he arrived in Coron.
The Magic missed the playoffs after finishing in 11th place in the Eastern Conference standings.
