The Philippines proved it remains a cut above the rest in Southeast Asia after sweeping the Seaba Under-18 Championship with an 86-49 whipping of Thailand, 86-49, in the gold medal game on Thursday in Medan, Indonesia.
Batang Gilas pulled away in the middle quarters after getting a challenge from the Thais in the opening period.
Joshua Sinclair came off the bench and led the Filipinos, bound for Iran this July for the 2016 Fiba Asia Under-18 Championship, with 15 points that went with six rebounds while John Bahio posted a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds.
The Philippines ripped Indonesia by 40 points on Wednesday to make the tournament final.
