Ravena posts heartfelt good luck note for Valdez ahead of game 3

He may not be able to be there to cheer for Alyssa Valdez in her last game in the UAAP, but Kiefer Ravena left Valdez something to remember him by.

The former Ateneo Blue Eagles superstar is the rumored love interest of the graduating leader of the Lady Eagles.

Ravena sent Valdez a heartfelt Instagram note ahead of the third and deciding match.

Ravena reminisced their days in the UAAP where he and Valdez, both highly touted athletes, where dubbed “The Phenom.”

“Heroes come and go but Legends live forever,” Ravena posted. “Five years in the UAAP. Five years of idiotism as friends. Five years of being each others biggest critic.”

“Sad I wont be able to witness your final game in person but you know I’ll be cheering for you and the team 7,365 miles away. Thank you for serving the school with loyalty, humility and dedication. You showed how one should represent his/her school. Along with thousands and thousands of your fans, we all agree that there will never ever be another Alyssa Valdez in the UAAP. We are fortunate to witness greatness. Thank you, idol! Goodluck on Saturday! Never ever fear the results of your best effort.”

Ravena, though, could not help but poke fun at their nicknames .

“Ps. I’m still the better Phenom.”

Valdez and the Lady Eagles are gunning for another title in the UAAP women’s volleyball against rival La Salle.
