Alyssa Valdez just finished her stellar UAAP career with three MVPs and two Women’s Volleyball titles.

With her collegiate career over, Valdez now moves on to a higher path not only on the court but also on her academics.

Valdez aims to receive her Masters degree in MA Communication and now that her days in the UAAP court are over, she hopes to get into the Philippine national team.

“If given a chance, I would want to play for the national team, who wouldn’t want that?” Valdez said Wednesday in a press conference at Frazzled Cook in Quezon City. “Iyon ang goal ng athletes, and bring back the glory to the country.”

Valdez has worn the Philippine tricolor in two separate occasions—first in the Asian Under-23 Volleyball Championships  held in the Philippines and in the 2015 Southeast Asian Games.

For now, though, Valdez will turn her focus on the upcoming Shakey’s V-League that will open May 15.
