Rain or Shine and GlobalPort arranged a titular showdown for the 2016 Under Armour-Batang PBA 12&Under basketball championship after overwhelming separate semifinal opponents Friday at JCSGO gym in Cubao.
The Batang RoS Elasto Painters routed the Star Hotshots, 71-53, while the Batang Pier crushed the Phoenix Fuel Masters, 64-46, setting up a collision between the competition’s most dominant teams.
Batang Star and Batang Phoenix battle for third place at 12 noon Sunday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum followed by the final game between Rain or Shine and Globalport at 1:30 p.m.
The two outings will serve as Under Armour curtain-raisers for Game 2 of the Oppo-PBA Commissioner’s Cup Finals between the Elasto Painters and the Alaska Aces.
