RoS takes break on Election day; Alaska holds afternoon practice
Having a 2-0 lead in a best-of-7 series has its perks.
Rain or Shine gave itself a breather on Monday when the country elects its new national leaders.
Article continues after this advertisementCoach Yeng Guiao opted to rest his players and let them exercise their civic duty on the heels of the Elasto Painters’ thrilling 105-103 win over Alaska on Sunday.
“Just to let them rest and have time to vote,” the fiery coach said.
Guiao is also seeking re-election as the representative of the first district of Pampanga.
Article continues after this advertisementAlaska, meanwhile, couldn’t afford a break and scheduled a team practice at 3 p.m.
Aces deputy Louie Alas, though, said that the Aces allowed their players to vote early in the morning before going back to the grind for the continuation of the championship series.
Game 3 of the 2016 PBA Commissioner’s Cup Finals between Rain or Shine and Alaska is on Wednesday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
