The idea of a possible bout between UFC star Conor McGregor and retired boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. has gained so much traction that the UFC president Dana White is willing to make the fight happen—only if it’s going to be under his watch.

In an interview on the Dan Patrick Show, White told the undefeated American slugger to contact him if he’s interested on taking on UFC’s biggest draw.

“(McGregor) is under contract with the UFC. Listen, if Floyd wants to fight Conor, call me, Floyd,” he said.

The two fighters have both hinted that the cross-sport fight, which is sure to bring in millions for both sides, is a possibility.

Mayweather, in a report of FightHype.com, did not dismiss McGregor as his potential opponent if he decides to return to action.

McGregor also expressed his interest in facing Mayweather, saying, “I’m open to discussions. Come at me. But I hold the key, and it’s me who holds the key to the fight game.”

“I am open-minded. I am open to discussion. I love competition. I love fighting. It would be nice to make that fight if the fans were interested and wanted to see it,” he said.
