THE PHILIPPINES will try to keep its Fiba 3×3 U18 Asian Championships crown more than two months from now in Kuala Lumpur.

Kobe Paras, Rashleigh Paolo Rivero, Arvin Tolentino and Ferdinand Ravena III ruled the first edition of the continental half-court championships in 2013 held in Bangkok.

During the same meet, Paras captured the slamdunk side event contest while Chinese Taipei won the women’s crown.

A total of 12 countries each from the men’s and women’s divisions will dispute the crown during the tournament on July 22 to 24 hosted by the Malaysian Basketball Association.

The Malaysians, who partnered with NBL Asia to organize the meet, will also host the 2017 edition of the Fiba 3×3 U18 Asian Championships.

The Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas has yet to form a team.
