MIGUEL Tabuena settled for 18th place in the Mauritius Open at Four Seasons in Beau Champs on Sunday and banked another $12,960 to be in third spot on the Asian Tour’s Order of Merit being led by Australian Marcus Fraser.
Wang Jeung-hun, the South Korean who called the Philippines home during his teen years, rolled to a second straight victory in the tournament co-sanctioned by the Asian and European tours after closing out with a level-par 72 for 282 and winning over Siddikur Rahman by a shot.
Tabuena closed with a 77 and finished 11 shots off the pace but raised his earnings to $336,258.
Meanwhile, Dottie Ardina fired a second straight one-under 71 and shared 11th spot in the US Symetra Classic won by Erica Popson in come-from-behind style.
Ardina picked up $2,662, while former college star Popson pocketed $22,500. Musong R. Castillo
