Looking to make a name for himself, Jerrick Ahanmisi dazzled a day after his older brother Maverick won a PBA title with Rain or Shine.
The Fil-Nigerian guard stepped up for Adamson, dropping 26 points on 5-of-7 shooting from threes that went with five rebounds, and three assists to lead the Falcons to an 83-78 victory over Letran on Thursday.

“I would say it’s one of the best performances that I had, but there’s more to come. It’s just the beginning,” said the 18-year-old Ahanmisi.
His brother was in attendance for the game as he saw the stellar play of his brother for the Falcons.
“I’m happy that he’s here,” the 24-year-old playmaker said.
Maverick was in attendance and the PBA rookie also kidded that with the way Jerrick played, it seems like he’s is tying to match his 30-point outburst in Game 4 of the 2016 PBA Commissioner’s Cup Finals.
“He’s trying to beat it,” Maverick said of his younger brother’s performance.
But for Maverick, there’s no such thing as a sibling rivalry between the them.
“I just tell him to listen to coach and play hard,” said Maverick.
For his part, Jerrick said that the advice he gets from Maverick is huge as he hopes to make a splash in the country’s collegiate scene.
“He always watches my game and [criticizes] me all the time. He just tells me to be more aggressive, being able play defense, pressuring me really hard because the UAAP is really aggressive,” the UAAP newcomer noted.
Jerrick, however, was straightforward when asked who’s the better player between them.
“I think I can beat him in a shootout,” he said. “I heard he is a great shooter but I think I can beat him.”
