JERRICK Ahanmisi sizzled for 26 points to power Adamson to its second straight victory at the expense of Letran, 83-78, Thursday while San Beda debuted in style in the Filoil Flying V Premier Cup.

Just a day after older brother Maverick played a key role in Rain or Shine’s PBA Commissioner’s Cup conquest, it was Jerrick’s turn to shine for the Falcons, hitting five triples on his way to a personal-best output.

Robbie Manalang and Papi Sarr wound up with 15 and 13 points, respectively as the Falcons improved to 2-2.

The Red Lions whipped University of the East Warriors, 94-72, behind the stellar outside shooting of AC Soberano and Davon Potts.

Soberano and Potts combined for seven of the Lions’ 11 triples as they took the fight out of UE early on before coasting in the second half.

Soberano finished with 19 points on 5-of-8 shooting from beyond the arc in just 16 minutes while Potts added 13 points. Dan Sara also wound up with 15 points.

The Lions turned a tight game into a rout by outscoring the Warriors, 31-12, in the second quarter.

The Falcons responded to the challenge after the Knights came within four points with Manalang and Sarr extending the lead with five straight points.

Rey Nambatac scored 18 points for Letran, which absorbed its second consecutive loss after an opening- day victory.
